Check out what's new at 7 months for this little Norah girl:
• She's mobile! Having mastered the roll, she now scoots wherever she wants to go by using a lot of upper body strength. It looks a bit like a combination of the butterfly stroke and the worm. She's close to figuring out how to add her knees to the mix which will really increase her speed.
• She does not yet sit up entirely on her own and she does not like sitting in a bumbo. She's not crazy about the jumper either.
• She's feeding herself! She munches on and makes messes with a variety of foods at least once a day. So far her foods tried list includes apples, sweet potato, peanut butter on celery, hummus on crusty bread, avocado, pear and whole wheat pretzel rods.
• I cut off her rat tail. I just could do the mullet any more. It was at least 2 inches long!
• Her favorite things are the things we generally take away from her. Some examples include playing cards of any kind, paper and phones. She also loves playing with balloons and can be entertained by them for minutes at a time.
• She knows how to put in her own pacifier.
• Night time naughtiness is the norm. She usually wakes up between 10:30 pm-midnight and needs to be helped back to sleep. Then she usually wakes up somewhere between 3:30-5:00 am to eat and then she's up for the day by 6:30 am or so. Luckily she still naps 2-3 times a day.
