Another beautiful wedding in Portland

Last weekend we headed to Portland for my brother Stephen's wedding. My brother Phillip was married in the Portland Temple almost exactly three years earlier, so it was fun to have some deja vĂș moments. We got to all be together in the temple for Rachel's endowment session the night before the wedding, and the entire wedding day was beautiful and so much fun. Stephen and Rachel make a great couple, and I am excited to add another sister-in-law to the mix!

Rachel and Stephen making their grand exit. So happy!

The Portland Temple is beautiful, though hard to capture all in on shot.

Clark and I outside the temple. The flowers were all in full bloom.

The three (now four) sisters: Me, Beth and Jerai.

My sweet Grandma Moulton. We were so happy to have our grandparents there.

I thought this was a pretty shot of Stephen and Rachel and my parents.
Everyone gets to dress up so pretty for weddings!

My cousins Amanda and Emily Munn who live in southeast Washington made the drive out to the luncheon and reception. It was great to see them and their families! We wish we could get together more often!

At the reception.

The bouquet toss and my eager little sister.

The day after the wedding Clark and I got to spend all day with Phil and Jerai and my grandparents. We had such a fantastic time. I have the best grandparents ever and just love spending time with them! Here we are exploring the Rose Garden. It was quite impressive.

Mmm. Tasty lunch at The Cheesecake Factory. We pretty much ate the entire trip!

Mesa, Bear Lake, Provo & Park City

August 1-15 were jam packed for me! I abandoned Clark during finals week to hang out with my cousin Sarah and her family and Elizabeth Tanner in Arizona and then spent the week in Bear Lake for the Monson family reunion. Clark flew to Provo a week later and we spent some time with friends in Provo and a few days in Park City with his family. We had a really fabulous time. Here are some pics of the many events...

Wrapping up July

So I have a lot of catching up to do. I have been out of town for a couple of weeks and have many pictures to post, but first I have a few pictures to show from the last couple of weeks in July. This first picture is Clark and me with our friends Brian and Clare. They live in our same complex and are essentially the only people that are more or less in our same stage of life. They were married not too long ago and are both doing post-docs. They are super fun people and we have loved having good friends close by! We had been taking advantage of any possible free time to hang out before Clare moved to Boston for her post-doc. Now we will have to settle for getting together every couple of weeks or so. Here we are at a little outdoor bistro that had live jazz music .Our last free weekend in July, Clark and I headed to Charlotte to see Stephanie and Chip. We had been meaning to go for months now, and we were happy to finally see Steph and her new house. We did some shopping at a big outlet mall and ate at yummy restaurants. It was fun to see their cute house that they will be leaving in just a few more weeks. Mostly I enjoyed hanging out and talking. We sure are excited for that little boy to get here!
Martin and Diana Palmer were in Durham for a couple of days visiting family. We love having friends in town and enjoyed a lovely breakfast at Elmo's Diner.
Below is one of the ESL classes I taught this summer. It was my biggest class and quite entertaining! My students don't really like to smile for pictures though...
