Hitting the slopes

Our annual Moulton family trip to Sun Valley was, once again, very fun and memorable.  We had an awful time trying to get Clark there after the airline messed up his flights.  Ugh.  It was such a nightmare.  After traveling the entire day we managed to get him to Idaho Falls where he came up a day late with my grandparents.  It was also a bummer that Jerai got so sick; what bad timing!   Despite the airline drama and Jerai not feeling well, we had a great time hanging out with each other, playing games and playing in the snow.

Here Beth and I are on the ski lift.  We had a good time on both Dollar and Baldy Mountains.  The boys had lots of fun throwing tricks off jumps and small (relatively) cliffs.  I tend to stick to the actual slopes and when I tried a rail I managed to receive the biggest, darkest bruise I've ever had in my life! It's such a shame I wasn't able to show it everyone...
Honestly, I don't know that there are many vistas prettier than the one you get at the top of Baldy Mountain.  These pictures don't catch much of the scenery, but it's beautiful.

Is my nephew not the most adorable boy in the world?  Gosh, I love him.

So even though we didn't stay in the house at Sun Valley like we usually do, we still got to go to the bowling alley and the heated pool at the lodge.  I was on fire for the first 3/4 of the game and still claim the title of bowling champion.  Stephen beat my score by one point but he had bumpers on his lane, so it really doesn't count.  Boyd thought bowling was pretty cool.  I love how his face can barely contain that grin!

What a stylish little boy.

So when we weren't skiing, bowling or swimming we were entertaining ourselves at the condo.  We played lots of games and even coerced my dad into playing a few.  So of the high lights were Buzz Word (Grandma and Grandpa Monson were key players!), Ticket to Ride, and the big finale game for Valentine's Day, The Newlywed Game.  We had lots of good laughs--especially when Mom found out how old Stephen was when he had his first kiss!  And of course, Clark and I were the winners!

Gosh I'm lucky to have such an awesome family.

So fun. Love the Moltons. Love the Schmutzes! IN my dreams I envision one day a trip with all the old friends. Wouldn't that be so fun? But alas, it's only in my dreams....unless we actually made it happen. Let's think about it....seriously! Love ya
