New Beginnings 2013: Stand in Holy Places

"Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord."  Doctrine & Covenants 87:8

For New Beginnings this year, we embraced the high heel ... and all cute shoes in general.  The church's theme for the youth this year of "stand in holy places and be not moved" just seemed to invite a shoe theme.  Thanks mostly to JoAnne and Ruth, we had a great color selection to pull from!   It was a bit more low-key than in previous years, and we actually had NO new beehives to welcome; but we still had a great time with our young women.

 Our program involved a little skit, a video and brief corresponding messages from the presidency and bishop, but we also got to hear from our girls.  As each class was introduced, they each had to stand on the "spotlight" and describe why the shoes they were wearing were their favorite shoes.

 We're definitely missing a few, but here are our lovely young women from the night!
