Four months is such a lovely age. Caroline is just delightful in so many ways. She is sleeping great (almost always through the night), naps well and eats well (takes a bottle well too!). With those bases covered, we are also enjoying fewer blow-outs and more giggles. She's quite a ticklish little thing, though sometimes her laughs sound more like grunts. She always giggles when I lotion her chubby thighs after bath time. She's even spitting up less than she used to. I've had some sweet time in the evenings with her where I just get to soak in all of her wonderful baby-ness with cooing, snuggling and tickling. It's just so great.

She has started to hold onto toys. She likes her little ball and her ribbon blankie. She chomps her fingers often and with vigor. Her finger nails grow like weeds, and she's started to roll over from her tummy to her back. She holds her torso up well, so we let her try out the jumper the other day. She doesn't do much jumping, but she's pretty content in it. Her hands are always busy when she's nursing. I usually have to hold her hand to keep her fingers away from her month, but my favorite is when she puts her free elbow up and rubs her hand back and forth along the back and side of her head. Another favorite thing is getting her out of her cradle in the morning. Morning is her happiest time, and she is all smiles when I get her up. Her little grin, with closed or squinty eyes (gotta adjust to the light) and her swaddled wriggles that turn into big stretches when she's unwrapped are the best way to start the day.
Our bright-eyed girl gets regular kisses from her big brother who loves to hold her and is great at fetching her toys when they fall from her grasp. How we all love this growing girl!

What a doll! Love those eyes. They are pretty familiar.
Those pictures are SO cute! The sticking her tongue out one is the best!
